Yana Lorenzini

New York, NY, US

Yana Lorenzini was art-oriented from an early age, the first photograph of her as an artist is at age 5, standing at an easel doing watercolors. Her father was a furniture and cabinet maker in her native Bulgaria. Every piece of furniture in their home was hand built by her father. At age 14 she entered a school for Fine Art and Craft, and then went on to medical college before emigrating to America in her 20s. After years of observing and developing her affinity for design, she choose her second career and went back to school at the New York School for Interior Design. Currently she is a freelance designer and artist living in Spanish Harlem with her husband–the photographer Michael Lorenzini.
