Wanqi Gao

I am knowledgeable about architectural design and urban design. I got my master degree of architecture in urban design at New York Institute of Technology in May 2011, and I got my bachelor degree of architecture in China in 2005. In addition to the knowledge I've obtained from my education, my working experience as an assistant architect in USA and China has improved my skill to work on projects from doing conceptual design to producing document drawings. I believe my education and work experience has provided me with an excellent background in the practical aspects of architecture. With my experience of working as an architectural designer not only at architectural firm but also at engineering company, I’ve learned more about designing a building from different views.

I have strong knowledge and hands-on skill in efficiently programming with AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator.

I enjoy both cooperating as a team member on collaborative efforts, and also thinking independently when needed to focus on solving problems. Sharing, reporting, and delivering technically detailed findings in regards to my projects through talks, presentations has given me good communication and writing skills.
