About

In Southern California, Colorado, and Hawaii I have designed high-end single-family homes, multi-family residential buildings, and many types of mixed-use buildings. Specifically I have designed beachfront homes while working with Peter Vincent Architects in Hawaii, and on my own as Townsend Poole Design Group. Additionally, in LA I worked with House and Robertson Architects on jobs led by the design firms of Richard Meier and Partners, and Koning Eizenberg. These varied experiences have made me into an architect able and willing to tackle any problem and work with any group. I am inspired daily by the built environment and yet somehow can’t stop redesigning it constantly in my head.

In short, I have been both design and production leader of many teams. I have designed sites and building concepts, detailed cabinetry, waterproofed windows, and problem solved on the fly during construction. I have submitted to building and planning departments, and presented to clients, city councils, and aesthetic boards. I have written contracts, budgeted, staffed, and marketed. A valuable addition to the team, I will bring immediate daily results.
