City College of New York (CCNY), New York, NY, US, Lab Assistant, Team Leader, Personal Assistant
I was assigned various positions while working in the Cad Lab, due to my time efficiency and technical expertise.
One of my roles was Lab Assistant. As Lab Assistant, my duties were to help students with any questions regarding computers, software, and hardware. Most of the time I simply helped them create something they did not know how to create but had an idea of what it would become.
Another aspect of my duties working in the Cad Lab was being a Team Leader: I was the link between the director of Computer Facilities and the students and other co-workers; in essence, I was the team captain that coordinated all work in the cad lab.
Being a Team Leader also meant being the director's Personal Assistant: The director would have too much on his plate to worry about grading papers, inputting grades for his classes and buying supplies for the Cad Lab; as the Team Leader and Personal Assistant to the director, I handled the administrative task and delegated what needed to be done. I had the opportunity to work closely with the director and helped him implement new policies as problems arose and were solved.
City College of New York (CCNY), New York, NY, US, BArch, Architecture
An amazing school to study architecture! Campus is in a vibrant city where there is so much to do and never a dull moment. I did enjoy my studies at City College for the most part. Many fun classes that can help you understand the built and social environment around us. I was able to take architectural courses as well as supplementary courses to gain skills valuable to my future goals.
