My interest in architecture dates back to my years in junior high school fantasizing about designing
roller coasters. The roller coaster designing spawned a design interest gravitating toward architecture during my high school career. By sophomore year of community college, I excelled in drawing, modeling, graphic and, design, and started acting upon my dance hobby. I also would work with personal clients to design T-shirts for team uniforms, DJ logos, and mixed media collages for books. I worked at Planet Funk Inc, as the Visual Merchandising Director. I had the ability to create new shopping experiences in a store and expand the companies visual standards. This unique experience has helped me generate a personal interest in retail design and the overall consumer viewpoint.
When I transferred to Woodbury University’s School of Architecture, I realized the naivety as a designer and as a young mind eager for knowledge that would soon bring awe inspiring projects. The program has enabled me to study in Tahiti, China, Barcelona, and Berlin. I have an interest in creating spaces inspired by the manipulations of everyday materials and producing the architecture with prefabricated parts to fuse innovative design concepts with the reality of building materials.
