Chad Garrety is currently in his fifth and final year of a Bachelors of Architecture Degree at the Pennsylvania State University. He has displayed scholastic excellence earning Dean's List every semester thus far, with a current GPA of 3.87, while involved in various extra curricular clubs and activities. Chad has developed a strong foundation in an understanding of the practice of architecture through various work experiences in the construction industry. He has demonstrated exceptional design ability in Penn State's Architecture program earning many design awards, most notably, including the 2011 Golumbic Scholarship, 2010 Joseph L. and Vivian E. Steele Fund. Scholarship, and the 2008 Penn. State Dept. of Arch. Design Excellence Award.

Additionally, was individually responsible for completing a digitally modeled day lighting analysis for LEED credit. Most recently, led a research project for the company's largest current project.

Managed residential construction projects for emergency housing repair ranging from roof replacements to room additions, managed volunteer labor, coordinated material purchase (in total, exceeding $60,000) and delivery. Additionally, coordinated volunteer groups prior, during, and following their volunteering experience, documented construction via drawings, photography, and data entry, and managed living quarters for over 600 volunteers.
