Ralph Spencer is a designer and curator. His works have been realized on three continents (North America, Europe, and Africa) and across many mediums. He has worked at prominent architecture firms in New York and Los Angeles, including KPF, AECOM, and Canon Design (formerly OWP/P). Each of these companies boasts a strong collection of work the world over.
Ralph's designs have been featured in numerous magazines and exhibitions. He has also been the recipient of several awards, including first place at the Washington D.C. Health Care Design Competition in 2009, and top honors at Southern California Institute of Architecture's Fall Exhibition in 2009 and 2010 for his work.
His latest project was an exhibition exploring the four dimensional possibilities of space. As producer and head curator, he selected over 100 works from approximately 50 artists--three of whom are Emmy Award winners, and two Academy Award winners. The exhibition ran for three months at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles. It sold out the first publication of the corresponding catalogue, and sent the second printing to press.
Ralph specializes in collaboration, architectural philosophy, and advanced technologies, complemented by an intense sense of creativity. He thrives on integrating media, conceptual art, and the scientific models to create positively influential environments. He understands with Churchill that, “We shape our buildings, thereafter they shape us.”
