About

I am a disciplined designer with a strong work ethic. My former professional experience has taught me how to be a team player, organize, prioritize and critically think through problems.

Presently I work for an interior design firm with a broad range of projects.  We do commercial space, office space and high-end residential, all with a wide range of style from traditional to contemporary including as built spaces, and ADA compliant finishes and accessibility. Experience ranges from assisting in creating proposed budgets for projects, schedules for finishes, furniture, wall covering and paint, site measuring for built and as built spaces, creating CAD plans, including elevations, floor, furniture, electrical and ceiling. I'm proficient in Studio Designer and have experience with Quick Books. Custom furnishings are often required, specifically furniture, and carpet, I assist in creating proposals for these items including CAD drawings for furniture. Also creating purchase orders and working with vendors to ensure the client receives the product in a timely manner and it meets specifications as agreed upon by both parties.  All material selections are specifically selected to meet budget expectations through the use of a wide range of vendors.

My experience began while a student at the University of New Haven working with the facilities department as part of a team lead by a former professor.  Experience in site  documentation of the older buildings and drawing them in CAD.  Space planning, creating new office space, incorporating plans for ADA accessibility  and an adjacency matrix for the largest building on campus. New office space included elevations, sections, and details. Participated this year in a presentation of the work we created for the school to the strategic planning committee.

While at ATL Environments I did space planning for residential and assisted on commercial, including site documentation.  I worked with vendors and sales representatives.  Assisted with product specification, including paints, wall coverings, flooring, hardware finishes and bath product selections. Research and cost comparison were included.  Also, creating invoices, assisted in writing proposals and working with the clients on product selection and pricing.
