Khalid Abisourour

Washington, DC, US

Although growing up within the context of a large family originating from Marrakech/Fez-Morocco, I have in fact benefited from a truly international upbringing as my family has changed residences frequently from Washington-DC (my birthplace), to Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Kuwait and Casablanca. This international experience has been further strengthened during my University study years at Kuala Lumpur - Singapore - Paris - New York, as well as training programs, and various professional positions across continents.

The inevitable outcome of this 'nomadic' life has been a gain of unique experiences and ability to respect and interact with all cultures as well as develop lasting friendships from the world over. My acquaintance with different cultures has enabled me to understand clients with different origins, beliefs, and preferences in design, and work towards fulfilling client satisfaction.

Furthermore, my perceptions of the world and the global issues that threaten its natural balance have helped me feel obliged to assist in its preservation through creativity in design and enhanced building services. In short, I have learnt to love and respect productive work, only finding peace & comfort in ethical business conduct and mutual respect to achieve tangible results with my colleagues and clients.
