I was born in La Habana, Cuba and moved to the United States when I was 9 years old. I attended Florida International University in Miami, FL where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture (08) and a Master of Architecture (11).
I participated in the 2011 U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon competition with FIU where I was a Design Architect and Building Envelope Coordinator of the PerFORM[D]ance House. I participated in the project from its conceptual design to its construction.
Some of my architectural experience includes working in teams to develop projects from schematic design phase to construction documentation. I have also worked on projects types including retail, financial institutions, single family housing, multi-family housing, low-income housing, mixed use, commercial, and museums.
