About

I am a recent graduate of the University of Oregon's Masters of Architecture program, where I focused my studies on multifamily housing and community development. I am passionate about urban planning in coordination with housing to improve the neighborhoods that we live in today.

My undergraduate education was also in architecture, and I earned my Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota in 2008. I spent the following year working for two residential architecture firms in Minneapolis, working in Revit and ArchiCAD at the two firms respectively.

As 2008 was a very poor year for the economy, these firms did not have the work load to support a young architect, so I continued on to my graduate education in Oregon the next year. I worked for Campus Planning and Real Estate at the University of Oregon during my graduate work, and gained experience working with higher education design.

Currently, I am seeking work in Los Angeles to grow in my professional experience, as well as to use my training in sustainable design from the University of Oregon to contribute to the design field in LA.

Education

University of Oregon, Eugene, OR, US, MArch, Architecture

While at the University of Oregon, I focused my studies on multifamily housing and community design. I took an interest in urban planning and took planning studios while I was at the U of O to gain a better understanding of this area of design. My terminal studio was an affordable housing project in Seattle, in which the studio focused on designing economically and environmentally sustainable housing solutions.

Sep 2009 - Jun 2011

University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, US, Bachelors, Architecture

My undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota gave me a broad understanding of media, focusing primarily on hand-drawing and representation. I took two years of pre-architecture coursework including architectural history and drawing courses, and then two years of design studio work along with materials, structures, and environmental design courses.
