About

I am an award-winning designer with over a decade of diverse experience in the field of interiors and architecture. My credentials include top honors for competitions in urban housing, hotel, educational, commercial, residential, and transportation facilities. I am a licensed architect in Nevada, certified by the National Council of Architecture Registration Boards (NCARB), and an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Additionally, I am an advocate for environmental responsibility with a LEED-accredited certification and a specialized credential in Building Design and Construction (BD+C). I am knowledgeable in Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D design, physical model building, digital photography, graphic design, sketching, and branding.

As Director of Todd-Avery Lenahan Studio (TAL Studio), I execute and oversee project design through each successive phase, working with clients to establish programming and brand objectives. I lead my project teams creatively, ensuring the practicality of all design ideas. At the same time, I am an active leader in the profession and community with a passion to support developing architectural students and interns. My values of leadership in design, pro bono work, and a commitment to serving the local community are realized daily as I work with and mentor interns and professionals.

In recognition of my leadership in design, service to the profession and the community, I was the recipient of the coveted AIA Western Mountain Region (WMR) Young Architect Award for the year 2014, the AIA Nevada Young Architect Award for the year 2012, and the AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Associate Award for the year 2010. I served as a director on the AIA Las Vegas Board of Directors from 2012-2013 and as the Emerging Professionals and Young Architects Forum (EPYAF) Director from 2010-2011.  I was recently appointed as the AIA National Young Architect Regional Director for the AIA WMR and I currently serve on the AIA Nevada Executive Committee in conjunction with being the NCARB Architect Licensing Advisor for Nevada.

In addition to my practical knowledge and experiences, since 2002, I have been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Architecture. I have taught design studios at the Foundation and the Upper Division levels in both interior design and architecture. Over the years, I have developed and restructured the UNLV upper division interiors program to include a corporate design studio and have rewritten course curriculums for the Foundations Program.

I received my professional architecture degrees from UNLV where I was awarded the Fielden Medal for Academic Excellence in Architecture and upon graduation, the College of Fine Arts' Most Outstanding Graduate Scholarship.
