Recently attained the Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago, studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a focus on Urban Design, and currently working as a stylist and visual window designer for a local Chicago boutique. My passion is travel, for I believe that to see and experience the world, one discovers themselves, and has a clearer universal understanding of how the world works and where their place is.
I find myself hesitantly answering people when they ask me what I studied in school by replying,
"I studied Architecture."
That's really not the whole truth.
I have come to acknowledge I hardly ever studied a single 'architecture' at all, but spent a lot of time observing the behaviors, conditions, and psychological properties within the phenomenology that encompasses the broad spectrum of our field in design and theory. In studio, the practice of theory and social implications within the symbiotic necessity of architecture following people, gave birth to the design ethical order that governs the integrity, excitement, and contemporary evolutionary process that makes architecture a lifestyle, art, and matter of ideals I live by. Whether it be designing the spaces 'in between,' or interpreting the sacredness of the human experience within architecture, "the eye lies in the palm." Since my induction into Architectural studies, I have been enthralled in a complex romance with the symbiotic surreality between form and the sensory organs in my aesthetic manifesto for the design experience and it's production of sculpture, fashion, philosophy, models, photography, or installations.
I am looking for my chance to shift the expectations and perceptions of people when they think of what 'architecture' can be vs. should be with a twist of fashion, art, and sense of humor.
