Hill International, Interior Design Intern

Since Hill International is a one of the most important firms internationally in project management and construction, my role as an interior design intern was to review architectural drawings, set and review reports and also provide recommendations during preliminary design phases. For example, I was working on Accor Novotel Hotel, I was asked to set a design package for re-designing the hotel suits by introducing different options with their finishes that are still coherent with Novotel style and color pallet worldwide.

Algonquin College, Bachelors, Applied arts- Interior Design

Algonquin College is the only college in Ottawa Canada that provides a BA of Interior Design, the most important aspect of being a student there was that both the theoretical and practical hands on aspect were implemented during the learning process.
I have learned the building and construction side as well as the aesthetics of building structure whether residential, commercial or any type of structure. In my opinion it’s like the equal importance of both science and art when thinking about creating a space, it has to be pleasant to the user as well as functional. Algonquin College gave us as interior design graduates the title of Renaissance designers.
