I am a college graduate from the University of California, San Diego with degrees in Urban Studies and Planning and Environmental Systems. Through my majors and my internship at LivingHomes, I have developed an affinity for the built environment and green design. With plans to attend UCLA's Architecture and Urban Design School this fall, I am currently looking for an internship at a design, architecture, planning, or construction firm to gain exposure in the field. I am a hard working and motivated individual and am excited to to start my career.
LivingHomes, Santa Monica, Environmental Technology Intern
- Conducted research to better assess the level of sustainability of LivingHome’s prefabricated modular houses
- Identified methods to decrease environmental impact during the development, construction, and maintenance of the homes
- Completed various assignments to ensure quality of construction and expedite project completion
UCSD LEED Group, LEED Volunteer
- Research LEED credits and develop a time-efficient plan for project accreditation
- Assist other team members in completing their respective credits to ensure deadlines are met
- Attend weekly meetings to review the progress of the project and to improve team dynamics
UCSD Institutional Research, Drafter
- Create and edit AutoCAD drawings to supply accurate and up-to-date building floor plans
- Maintenance of spatial data and records to provide a reliable database for clients
- Attend weekly meetings with supervisors and fellow drafters to ensure a high quality of work and to strengthen team mentality
Mandeville Auditorium, Stage Crew Work Leader
- Setup and operate sound and light equipment for several successful performances per month
- Direct groups of five or more student workers to complete tasks in an orderly, timely manner
- Attend to various maintenance needs of the auditorium to uphold a clean and well-serviced space
- Interact with clients to ensure all requests are met and satisfaction is achieved
UCSD Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Research Assistant
- Research in using geospatial programs to assess and suggest improvements in climate control efficiency of southern Californian buildings
- Attend weekly meetings with the professor to discuss and improve research goals and results
- Interact with various faculty and professionals to obtain necessary information to achieve research objectives
