About 

I am an architectural design professional with three years experience.  I am a graduate of the University of Texas with a Masters of Architecture - First Professional in 2010 and a Masters of Science - Historic Preservation.  I have experience from the conceptual stage all the way through construction including construction documents.  My professional interests include design, investigation and construction.

I am currently seeking a position where I can draw from both my academic and professional experiences while contributing to a team.

•Prepared bid documents including footage take-offs, materials lists and cost estimating for masonry proposals

•Construction administration / project management for multiple commercial masonry jobs from pre-construction to completion

•Project management for masonry construction for three child development centers at federal military base - Fort Hood, TX

•Assembled technical data/MSDS submittals, created work orders, ordered project materials, conducted site visits

•Communicated and coordinated project details and schedules with construction management firms

•Created shop drawings for masonry installation and placement

•Created reference database of material and labor costs

Courses included design studio, history, theory, planning, site design, environmental controls, construction, building skins.

Program was well rounded encouraging students to explore all aspects of the field of architecture and other disciplines.

The University of Texas at Austin, Masters, Historic Preservation

Program was two years and incorporated history and theory as well as lab methods, national register nominations, measured drawings, building performance and pathology, cultural resource management as well as a thesis component.

The program was not only geared towards historic structures, but rather geared towards and understanding of context, fabric, sociology of existing buildings and their relationship to new construction.

I completed this degree in order to be a well rounded architect.

University of Georgia, Bachelors, Art History

The program consisted of a thorough exploration of art history ranging from ancient to modern and contemporary.

I was also able to complete fine art courses while a student in the art history department which included drawing I and II, 3D I and color theory.
