Mariline Laenen was born in Antwerp, Belgium. She earned a bachelor and Master degree in Interior Architecture at the Henry van de velde Institute in Belgium. Upon graduating, she moved to NYC where she started her studies in architecture at Parsons, The New School for Design. Her work has been architved by the Parsons school of Design. In 2010 she was awarded second prize in the AIA Student Innovative  Housing Competition.
