My name is Steven Sze and I am currently a Senior Designer at Richard Meier and Partners.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a minor in Studio Art (Photography) from The Ohio State University in 2009 and my Master of Architecture from Parsons The New School for Design in 2011 where I participated in the school’s design build project.
Since graduating, I have been working at Richard Meier & Partners where I have spent time in both the Model Shop and the Design Studio. Being part of both has allowed me to develop the rigor and meticulous attention to detail that the firm pursues in every project. In the design studio, I have primarily worked on high-end residential buildings. One of note is the Yang-Ma Condominium Tower, where I was involved from concept design all the way to construction administration. My major responsibilities, beyond 2D/3D design work, involved putting together the façade package for the entire building, visual mock-up, and performance mock-up, reviewing shop drawings from our contractors, and traveling to Taiwan for coordination meetings and site inspections. Having worked on this project from beginning to end has allowed me to design in a manner that is conceptually rich yet still feasible and practical.
