Professional Interior Designer, Architect Intern, licensed in Florida, certified in California and Maryland previously.  LEED AP since 2009.  Proficient in AutoCAD. Took Revit classes at Central Oregon Community College, 2 classes - 4.0 average.  Graduated from Louisiana State University in 1984 with Bachelors of Science - Interior Design-School of Architecture.  NCIDQ certified since 1989.  Professional member of ASID. 24 years of experience planning and managing construction and moves for small and large corporations.  Most recently working for Architects in Central Oregon completing commercial and residential projects including Nolan Town Shopping Center and Sleep Inn Suites Redmond.  Concepts for Sleep Inn and Mainstay Suites as well.  Also award winning design award for shopping center and for Central Oregon Builders Association Tour of Homes in 2007.  Instrumental in facilities planning and management for several financial institution mergers and consolidations. Architect, designer, project manager of local projects. Worked over network with Beaverton office. Managed office, projects, staff. Trained staff and worked with Portland office on projects throughout Oregon. Local projects included Sleep Inn Suites, Redmond, OR and Nolan Town Shopping Center in Redmond. From site and feasibility studies to move in and tenant improvements. Also designed many custom homes, homeowners association contact with homeowners and contractors. Utilized AutoCAD, Office, PDF, and other softwares to do construction documents. Coordinated with design teams to plan and build out projects. Coordinated with various large corporate tenants and tenant improvements for many other firms. Satisfied Architecture internship in this job. Applied for license in Washington pending passing the ARE 4 exams.

Sold my portion of the businsess when my ex was transferred out of state.

Retail desing showroom with adjoining workroom. Hired to plan, manage and implement new Val Pak Headquarters building in St. Petersburg, Florida. Site was acquired. They were in 3 buildings. Field survey, programming, design of all construction drawings, managing all interior construction, working with builder and landscape contractor on site. Did all drawings and specifications by hand. Only typewriter and phone available for technology. Designed custom furniture, rugs, drapery, etc. Ordered all new furniture, warehoused and coordinated installations. Even ordered and installed all accessories. Building was 30,000 square feet, offices, computer room, production areas, camera room, etc. Planned building, interiors, site.

Took 2 Revit Architecture classes and received 4.0 average. AutoCAD and computer classes a prerequisite. Need to complete Inventor and Civil Classes to get certificate.

Mt. Vernon College, NCIDQ exam preparation

Night class 2 times per week to cover all subjects tested on for National Council for Interior Design Qualifications Examinations. The standard for professional Interior Design status. Commuted to DC from PA line to complete this preparation class for exams. It paid off.

FIDER accredited program rated highly in the nation (Foundation for Interior Design Educational Research). Strong in Commercial planning and design. Tough program, labs with Architects and Landscape Architects - only 12 graduates out of 50 admitted.
Good basis to start planning commercial buildings having learned how to research, program, draft, present, critique. Also about colors, lighting, furnishings, photography. Minor in history - Architecture history, Interior Design history, Art history. Completed pre architecture program at LSU as well.

2007 COBA Tour of Homes winner 7 of 8 categories $800K to $1 million range, 1st Place

Central Oregon Buiders Assocation - awarded top honors in all categories but front facade. Buildier was Silco Construction. Changed elevation.

Cascade Business Journal - best commercial project in Redmond OR 2006, 3rd Place

Nolan Town Center - shoppping center development hillside farm 7 acres developed into 6 building community shopping center 80,000 sf. Site buildings and developments.

Also 2008 - Sleep Inn and Suites, Redmond, OR, top honors in commercial construction projects.
