Freelance- Restaurant Design, New York, NY, US, Interior Designer

In 2009 while walking nearby the Fashion Institute of Technology a gentlemen tapped me on the shoulder and said “Excuse me, can you design for me? “ It was such a bizarre meeting that turned into a wonderful relationship. He took a chance on a new, young designer, and I learned that restaurant and interiors is where I want to take my career. Currently we are working on our third bar together.

The Paris Café
Developing a scheme, with the Owner/Landlord and leasers to renovate and restore The Paris Café. Moving the 1873 bar back to its original position, comfortable booths and rich millwork will contribute to bringing The Paris to its former glory.

The Bluebell Café
• Developed country kitchen theme to create "home" in middle of NYC, custom designed appliqué for store front and wrought iron railing
• Custom designed millwork, selected all light fixtures, materials and finishes
• Used left over flooring materials as tabletops and hand painted bluebells
• Advised owner in staging of collected decor

The Open Door Gastro Pub
•Developed solution for pub based on history of English and Irish "public houses" with separate areas for bar and dining
•Worked with clients to create 'door' theme derived from Georgian Doors seen in Ireland
•Created furniture, seating and lighting plan, as well as booth design. Chose all light fixtures, materials and finishes
•Collaborated with contractor to design back bar, advising on visual brick, bar materials, lighting and height
•Selected images of NYC doors, taken by photographer hobbyist, strategically placed throughout space
