About

My journey of exploring innovative development projects goes back to my Cornell days, where I submitted a thesis project that hybridized a typical NYC block, suburban row houses, and a parking garage.  I continued my research in finding new development typologies during my employment at OMA. I participated in formulating the initial ideas and concepts of a highly unconventional skyscraper development in Louisville, Kentucky called Museum Plaza.  The idea of the mixed-use building was to create an assemblage of individual single-program towers, with highly optimized floor plates, using a contemporary arts institute as the sky lobby and focal point.  At SOM, I was responsible for a mixed-use building design concept for a W Hotel and Condominium that would act as an anchor building for a W branded residential community in Denver, Colorado.  I have also participated in 3 winning design competitions for mixed-use super-tall towers: Busan World Lotte Tower (tallest in Asia, now under construction), Digital Media City Tower in Korea and Lulu Tower in Abu Dhabi while working at SOM.

After many years of working on highly theoretical projects at OMA and huge commercial developments at SOM, my involvement at Allied Works Architecture directed my attention to spatial and material craft.  My interest in environmental design and social responsibility led me to join Perkins + Will, repeatedly ranked #1 for sustainable design.  Using Revit and Ecotect, I aided in the design and construction document phases for Stanford University’s Children’s Hospital and for SUNY Albany’s New Business School.  Under the guidance of technical architects, I aided in creating the interior construction document packages for both these LEED projects.
