Assisted the firm Principals by participating in a variety of different projects. Tasks included AutoCAD drafting, physical model-building, signage design, existing conditions surveying, and general office duties.

Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), BArch, Architecture

The freedom of the Virginia Tech Architecture Program provided me with an opportunity to study as wide a variety of subjects and ideas as possible, while developing a solid architecture base. I particularly enjoyed pursuing thoughts on material object, spending countless hours in the wood and metal shops, as well as the architectural relationship between light, material, and sound (upon which my thesis year relied).

Studied the relationship between music and architecture in a very tangible, hands-on studio environment. I had the opportunity to live and work alongside amazing musicians and architecture students from around the world, in a completely inspiring place (Chateau de Fontainebleau).

My thesis project was a "Faculty Choice" selection for the thesis year Pella Prize competition.

Robert Turner Fontainebleau Study Scholarship, Scholarship

I was awarded the Robert Turner Fontainebleau Study Scholarship, based on my 4th year design studio work. The award allowed me to study at the Fontainebleau Schools, in Fontainebleau, France, during the summer of 2008.
