I am a recent graduate from the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture. Through my years at Notre Dame, I have learned the craft of architecture and studied the components of what makes a great building. I have worked on individual projects, honing my own personal technique, sense of design, and attention to detail, and I have also spent a great deal of time within collaborative group settings, adding to the shared sense of creative energy. I have interned at an architecture firm where I was able to experience a professional environment firsthand. I have been fortunate enough to spend a year studying in Rome, a city rooted in an incredible sense of history and brimming with its own particular sort of charm. My travels abroad have really shaped me as a person and as an architect, not only by allowing me to experience great architecture firsthand but also by introducing me to new cultures and perspectives, challenging me to examine where I fit into the world at large.
Beyond architecture, I have always had a passion for writing and storytelling, and at Notre Dame, I’ve contributed to on-campus publications (you can see one of my short stories here) and have placed in the Notre Dame Literary Festival. Music has also been an important part of my life. On campus, I was first chair flute in Notre Dame’s Symphonic Winds, and I was part of the CORE Leadership Team in the Band of the Fighting Irish. As a creative spirit, I am drawn to many different artistic pursuits. It is this sense of creativity that originally led me to study architecture, which marries artistic vision with the practicality of a built environment. Now that I have graduated, I am eager to use my talents and skills to meet the creative challenges of the professional world.
