I am a registered American architect with experience in the United States and China. With seven years in the profession, I have compiled a wide range of architectural experience contributing to the design, documentation, and the construction oversight of a variety of project types ranging from a few hundred square feet (9 – 28 m2) to several million square feet (306,180 m2).
I trace my pursuit of architecture to the years spent on and off as a part of local construction crews, my time studying interior design, and growing up in the Southwest. Residing nearly two decades in New Mexico, I have been fortunate enough to witness the importance of implementing vernacular traditions, maintaining historical roots, promoting the nourishment of the barrio, and the spirit of storytelling as vital to the pulse of the city.
Contrasting my local sensibilities, I have traveled and lived within North America and abroad observing global arrangements, and cultural diversities that continue to influence my architectural perception. It is the combination of my upbringing and cultural exposure that ignite my interest in examining people, place, technology, material, nature, sustainability and their relationship to each other.
I have a vested interest in responsible building that implements sustainable strategies, and designs that evoke positive occupant experiences, through the buildings and places that are created. Ultimately, my objective is to work as part of a firm where we can cultivate a creative, enthusiastic, and architecturally successful relationship. It is architectures inexhaustible essence, and the potential to touch the kinetic nature of humanity that perpetuates my professional commitment, and I hope to find a firm that wishes to continue a similar dialog.
