My name is Maria. I am a student from San Juan Puerto Rico and I am a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Design from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I am very interested in the intersection between architecture/interior design and other fields, such as neuroscience/psychology, engineering, computer science and consulting.

Memory Matrix Installation (MIT), Cambridge, MA, US, Design Team Member

• Worked with Prof. Azra Aksamija to create an installation for the MIT Centennial at the MIT Media Lab, to mourn the loss of cultural heritage, with a focus on the Syrian Refugee Crisis.
• Designed project logo, drew conceptual diagrams and red line drawings, created a video for crowd funding, worked on the conceptual design team, prototyped ideas and contributed to project management and overview of construction.
• Installation has been exhibited at the MIT Media Lab, Qalandiya International
Biennale, London Biennale - Manila Pollination and Amman Design Week.

• Generated a catalog to show government officials the impact that the emergency exits and ventilation system of an underground highway in Buenos Aires would have on the surface and on the historic district.
• Catalog included 3D models of types of exits, renders, maps, a circulation analysis and general evaluations of each exit.
