Cord received Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a Minor in Chemistry at Florida State University. He then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering; Structural Emphasis at the University of South Florida, where he also was named a Provost Scholar for Academic Achievement.
