Adrienne received her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon in 2009 with minors in Business Administration and Art History. In school, she was an active member in the American Institute of Architecture Students and spent time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. She studied architecture in France and Italy where she attended the Università degli Studi di Macerata in 2008.
Since graduation she has spent a large amount of time volunteering for various organizations. She is an active member of Architects without Borders, where she collaborated with other local architects on the design of the Music Crossroads project in Africa. She also spends her time volunteering for the Architecture Foundation of Oregon, where she has helped the Executive Director with the Teaching Basics Through Design workshop, the Honored Citizen event for 2010 and is currently working the redesign of the MatriArchs exhibit to be displayed at the University of Oregon.
Portland Community College, Accounting Technician
Conducts various accounting tasks as an integral member of the accounts payable department. In charge of auditing the procurement card program as well as working with coworkers to pay and track all payables for the college.
-Documents payments made to architects, change orders, retainage and contract balances for all bond related building projects. Processes payments for Bond program and project related vendors.
-Established the system for tracking Procurement Card holder missing documentation. Ensures that all documentation is obtained in order to comply with the IRS Accountable Plan Rules.
-Responsible for payment to vendors as well as employee travel and expense reconciliation.
Architecture Foundation of Oregon, Volunteer Administrative Assistant
Conducts various administrative and graphic design oriented tasks as the assistant to the Executive Director of the Architecture Foundation of Oregon.
-Currently finishing the redesign and restoration of the MatriArch’s exhibit to be displayed on the University of Oregon campus as well as in the White Stag Building in Portland. This exhibit honors the founding women architects in Oregon.
-Designed all signage and PowerPoint presentations for the Honored Citizen Event in 2010 recognizing Cycle Oregon’s involvement in the community and built environment.
-Documented the site and assisted the Executive Director during the three day Teaching Basics Through Design workshop in Portland.
Architects Without Borders, Volunteer Designer
Collaborates with other local architects to problem solve and design for organizations in need of services. Provides excellent service to clients; coming up with thoughtful and sustainable designs that will surpass all of the client’s needs and expectations. Offers aesthetically pleasing designs that meet code and safety standards for the specific area being designed for.
-Helped design the restaurant, bar, gift shop, internet café and outdoor terrace for the Music Crossroads project. This project focused on designing a music school for children in five different cities in Africa. Presented designs to fellow professionals at multiple AWB meetings.
