Led studio with three student finalists in an international design competition.

Integrated 200 level architecture and interior studio encouraging holistic, collaborative, conceptually-driven design and critical analysis of how humans experience space. Introducing methodologies and philosophies to encourage rigorous design thinking. Training students to develop abstract thinking skills, practice craft, produce installations, and work together toward a final project, which integrates culture, context, and concept.

300/400 level interior and architectural studio exploring the future of retail design. Provided methodological framework for design process and professional presentation. Introduced students to trends analysis in sociocultural influences, providing experiences to explore brand value communication strategies in the consumer experience, and investigating the role of Corporate Social Responsibility policies in forming the culture and environment of brand. Three of these students placed in the final 12 of an international design competition.

Retail environments for Luxottica eyewear group--Cincinnati, OH
Produced design intent plans for over 60 stores for Sunglass Hut brand. Collaboration with in-house and outside partners in planning, design, branding, architecture, and millwork to produce technical and design intent drawing packages. Displayed understanding and effective translation of brand intent for multiple clients.

SHP Leading Design, Design Manager

Acted as Design Lead on multiple projects. Collaborated with interdisciplinary project teams and individual designers to provide design ideas and guide them through ongoing design meetings and critique on over 15 projects. Worked directly with Executive Vice President of Design to elevate design aesthetic of projects, while integrating the studio disciplines and encouraging rigor of processes. Directly managed 12 designers in 3 offices, with a specific focus on design quality. Collaborated with Marketing, BIM and Sustainability Directors to develop and implement initiatives to elevate design output, improve efficiencies, and integrate design teams.

Conceived concepts for and directed photo shoots. Wrote content for publications and award submissions. Designed presentations for and participated in numerous client interviews. Elevated perception of design and office morale through programs, regular office-wide recognition and celebration of work, and daily supportive interaction with designers.
