About 

I am pursuing a professional Masters of Architecture degree at UC Berkeley with the intention of attaining licensure and a career in architecture.  Currently, I am seeking employment which can further my development as a designer and introduce me to various professional roles and responsibilities.

Conducted studies regarding daylighting, building materials, and occupant comfort in order to consult on large-scale, luxury office and museum projects.

Working with custom furniture and cabinet builders, I assist on a wide variety of high-end fabrication projects and retail build-outs. I am trained on many different building and finishing techniques using hand- and power tools including mitre saw, table saw, track saw, cement pouring, sanding, staining, and more.

I trained with a high-end metal fabricator and sculptor. We worked on a variety of projects from architectural elements such as stairs to smaller art works. I was trained in MIG and TIG welding and proper set-ups for low-tolerance fabrication.

I worked with Cameron McNall of Electroland, an architecture and public art firm working out of West LA. I helped with the construction of his design for his private residence, a project featuring a complex hanging facade designed using Grasshopper. I was also sat in on meetings regarding the installation of a large scale public art project in DTLA.

Although the courses varied, my focus centered upon issues of race, gender, and identity in the contemporary novel. Coinciding with my work as a United States History Minor, I wrote a capstone thesis with the English department on the fiction of Octavia Butler, race, gender, and the subversive abilities of pulp science fiction.
