In 2003 re-located to Dallas to work with the firm HKS in the Sports division.

I worked in the creation of two high profile sports-related projects for the MLS and NFL. I had worked directly with principal Bryan Trubey and the legendary team owner Lamar Hunt in forming the design for 3rd stand-alone MLS soccer stadium Pizza Hut Park (now Toyota Stadium) and sports complex. The complex was the first stadium to introduce an 'U' shape bowl with an permanent end zone stage.

In 2005 we produced together the winning design for the Lucas Oil Stadium, a 64,000 seat multi-purpose stadium with a fully retractable roof. The design chosen over proposals from two notable sport design firms and was subse- quently steered from concept through to construction.

We had also produced the design for the first center pitch hung 'I beam' scoreboard-originally planned for the Colts but was rejected and later concieved at Cowboys stadium.

A signature design element of the 1.8 million square foot stadium was its unique roof design that breaks from common usage by having two roof panels move to the sides of the stadium, and still remains the worlds largest roof opening. The building received the prestigious McGraw Hill ‘Best Sport Facility of the year 2009 award.
