About

I was born in Israel, however, my early UK work and academic education (Uni of Liverpool and the AA), quite shaped me to who I am, and molded the base of my current visual perception. I am currently living and working in Tel Aviv. Much of my work strives for the timeless quality, for the contextual.

Places for People  -  I am much fascinated with the study of site conditions and place, of circumstances and cultural context, and much appreciate urban spaces that being shaped as proper conditions for potential human meetings. I also adore architecture where material 'works hard' in various levels (i.e. less is more). Therefore, in some of my proposals I could be happy if it might look at the end effortless, and the contextual city fabric was much involved in shaping the project.

Urban design fascinates me with its bulk collective effort, and its often diversity in unity elusive quality. However, I do not believe that good particular design may be a result of a committee effort. I strongly believe in the importance of a dialogue between the various individuals involved in each project, and particularly within the design team that we architects lead. I also believe that good teamwork communication is the condition for good architectural projects that surround us.

Using technology in our profession is a necessity, but as an Old School supporter, I commonly will prefer the physical model rather than virtual reality modeling (I am fascinated with its process, and with its related outcome), and as a visual enthusiast, I have great interest in visual arts that lean towards precise abstraction, as well as to music, urban spaces, good food, or the everyday.
