Traveled through France, Germany and Italy for two weeks, learning from different European cultures and visiting an extensive list of architectural projects. Traveled through the ancient sites of Greece for one week, then spent over a month studying in Patras. The project began as an urban design strategy, developing a master plan for a narrow strip of land along the Patras waterfront and the older city port. The project site had the existing local metro line running through it, as well as the historic/abandoned old train station and maintenance facilities as well. Once the master plan was developed, each student was given a massing on the site to further develop architecturally through the design principles and program established through the master plan.
