Avenue hostel

The project was an extension to an existing hostel in a 100 sqm apartment. The request of the client was that each room should be convertible between dormitory and 4-bed private room. To achieve this we designed a mezzanine with removable separator walls and convertible mattress-chairs.

An important part of our concept was to divide space with fabric to allow some privacy but not block the light completely in the sleeping areas.

Lockers, which also serve as nightstands and separators between the beds, are built into the mezzanine's structure.
