East of Down Town Bus Shelter Design Proposal

Design Intent: To create a shelter for the east and west bound ABQ RIDE/RAPID RIDE bus stops in the East of Downtown (EDO) District of Albuquerque NM. The two sites are located on the north and south side of Central Ave. Between Arno St. and Edith Blvd. Taking into consideration the current tenants whom reside at the location as well as creating a design that is aesthetically similar to that of the existing benches in place. The overall length of the east bound shelter would make it necessary to stand on the street side of the shelter rather than awaiting passengers resting along the storefront of the building disrupting the tenants. The shelter could also serve as sign or billboard identifying the EDO District.
