• Developed designs for 7 projects consisted of healthcare, assisted living, commercial, residential, and education.
• Conducted conceptual and schematic designs of a new 20,000 sq.ft. retirement housing addition and a 1.2 million dollar renovation project at The Queen’s Medical Center, Hawaiʻi’s largest medical hospital.
• Re-configured furniture layouts for interim and final floor plans, designed cabinetry, constructed drawings of sidewalks and a simple asphalt roof.
• Provided professional design consultation to clientele based on their wants and needs, researching (FF&E), and creating concise concepts, which are
displayed through presentation boards.
• Prepared design and construction documents, schematic designs, using freehand sketching and AutoCAD for building development designs.
• Drafted contractual documents and obtain permits from the Department of Planning and Permitting of Honolulu for current projects.
• Liaison between client, contractors and subcontractors during projects; prepare and present drawings, schedule site visit for fieldwork, and respond to RFIs.
• Ensured projects move efficiently by verifying and documenting all existing site conditions, surroundings, quality of inventory, confirm and oversee installation of furniture and products. Immediate corrective actions were taken when situations arise to delay construction or installation.
• Supported the administrative and procurement department by: retrieving product specifications, obtaining quotes of finishes and furnishings from manufacturers, and preparing quote comparisons and bid summaries to provide our client an overview of the budget.
