Last month in Harpers (Feb 2007) there were two great articles on authenticity and art. The first one by by Jonathan Lethem titled The Ecstasy of Influence considers the whole idea of plagiarism through an argument which is a plagiarism itself. In the other, titled On the Rights of Molotov Man, copyright and context are considered through two competing viewpoints of an image.
