Delegates from nearly 190 countries wrapped up two weeks of intense and at times emotional talks on Saturday with a two-year timetable for reviving an ailing, aging climate treaty. i am now convinced what the us wants is exactly what all the other westernized countries want but falsely believe they can achieve it through 'efficiency' -- that is continued economic growth at any cost - the us recognizes it cant have its cake and eat it too so therefore has this 'idiotic' committement to vodoo technology that might get them there - other westernized countries niavely believe -- monitoring carbon will get us there - it wont - radical measures have to be taken now and economic growth 'as they know it' must stop.
