Urban planner with a strong focus on regeneration and brownfield sites reuse practices.
Since 2004 I conduct photographic documentation of former industrial sites and landscapes in Italy and Europe (Germany, Belgium, France, Poland, Ukraine). For each visited place a systematic research is developed, aiming to investigate various aspects such as history, manufacturing process, social/economical/cultural issues. The results are published in my personal website, Still Alive (www.st-al.com), self-designed and constantly updated. Considering the ruins of the industrial age an essential part of our history, I intend, at least, to preserve the visual memory of them. My work has been published in scientific journals, shown in personal and group exhibitions and discussed in public conferences (see "about>works" section in my website).
