I am a UK based artist working with the Drawing Center Gallery in New York. As part of my project, I’m initiating a monthly online discussion group, the aim of which is to share experiences of 'work' including paid, voluntary or creative activities.
Using Google Hangouts to remotely connect our physical places of work, the aim is to bring together a broad range of working practices - this is open to anyone who can set up a webcam from their place of work. I’m particularly interested in hearing from those who work in architectural practices. This could include studio based practices or those whose work is based online.
You can join the discussion for just one or a number of the monthly sessions which will continue over the course of 1 year. I’m interested in exploring how our experiences of work are shaped by such things as the physical place we work from, the country/city/village we live in and the communities/networks we are part of. Each session will last between 1 to 2 hours with between 5 to 10 participants. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch for further information on how to get involved.
