Looking to build a custom design/build/fabricate database for future reference. So far I have Kem in K.C., Hufft, in K.C. and Eldorado in K.C. Also SPACE architecture in St. Louis (where I worked) and Rural Studio.
This is national/worldwide, but ideally looking in Chicago as I am relocating there. Thanks for your input!

Design/build is an oxymoron.

Most design/build firms tend to focus on residential, so you can search houzz.com to find many of them (although I'm sure most of us here would distinguish the majority of those on that site as "custom home builders" instead of "design/build firms").
Then, you have archinect's list, which you can play with its advanced search options.
