Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious. It needs all sincere efforts. It is a step that inevitably should be followed by other steps. To sum the point of post: Criticize Hamas' anti-jewry all you want wherever it presents itself - and count me in as a critic. Same goes for any element of any religion - and all religions are rife with edicts that could be racist, inciting violence...(I am no scholarly expert, but to clarify something, the edicts of Islam, especially derived from a non-koranic source must be read with the author in mind (al -bukhari in this case) given a certain context that the hadith or koranic verse and I, for myself, don't have the knowledge or desire to defend that quoted section nor do i care to).
But don't use that to alleviate the responsibility of the racist colonial entity of Israel in its slow genocide of Palestinians, don't use it to detract from the urgency of protecting the victims that are being killed in their hundreds as we speak, and don't use it for taking action, peaceful action, against Israel through the boycott practiced by all "people of consciousness" (borrowing the term from the US campaign for the academic and cultural boycott of Israel) around the world.

Furthermore, are you expecting that I find myself in a contradiction by supporting Hamas and all other palestinian factions in the defense of the Palestinian people and finding anti-judaism on the part of anyone, including Hamas, to be as unacceptable? Excuse me but you must have someone else in mind. I have previously stated that I have grave concerns with Hamas. But I totally support their right to be defend their homeland.
thirdly, you would not understand your head from your feet when it comes to their rhetoric or context- be it translated into english. there is a long history and, in fact, evolution. we can delve into it as a matter of interest but that is obviously not your concern here. unfortunately, it seems a common trait of all religions to vilify other religions and Hamas are bringing forth one of those elements...which is seen to be very relevant when the colonial power taking your lands sees itself as the apotheosis and the contemporary emblemization of Judaism wanting to throw the Palestinians out. In other words, Hamas anti-judaism (not anti-semitism, after all Palestinians are semites) is fed, encouraged and - in their eyes- justified by the heinous pillaging and oppression at the hand of their mythical-made-real enemy.
Fourthly, you choose the 1989 charter without also mentioning that Hamas have radically departed from it over the years (although cynics might point to this as simply owing to pragmatism rather than a fundamental alteration of beliefs . .however, as we say in arabic, you can't judge someone from their intentions, you judge them from their actions)...

To sum the point of post: Criticize Hamas' anti-jewry all you want wherever it presents itself - and count me in as a critic. Same goes for any element of any religion - and all religions are rife with edicts that could be racist, inciting violence...(I am no scholarly expert, but to clarify something, the edicts of Islam, especially derived from a non-koranic source must be read with the author in mind (al -bukhari in this case) given a certain context that the hadith or koranic verse and I, for myself, don't have the knowledge or desire to defend that quoted section nor do i care to).
But don't use that to alleviate the responsibility of the racist colonial entity of Israel in its slow genocide of Palestinians, don't use it to detract from the urgency of protecting the victims that are being killed in their hundreds as we speak, and don't use it for taking action, peaceful action, against Israel through the boycott practiced by all "people of consciousness" (borrowing the term from the US campaign for the academic and cultural boycott of Israel) around the world.
