Subject: Spontaneous application

Dear Sirs,

It is with pleasure that I present my spontaneous application for a job in the architeture and urbanism area.

For a long time architecture and image have been a passion so I would like to summarize my personal path.

When I was 14 years old I had the first contacts with photography which I learn and practiced as an amateur till I was 19, time when I became a professional in that area.

Since then I have my own advertising photography studio specialized in the food& beverage area (www.moovemz.com).

Architecture has been a steady passion in my life. By mere accident I postponed that career because in 1975/1976 my university entrance in that college (ESBAL) was made impossible: due to political and social reasons (the Portuguese Revolution of April 1975):  the university was closed.

When I turned 50 and business in the photography sector was slowing down, I decided to change my professional life and accept the challenge to make the university course that I always dreamed about.

After I entered the Faculdade de Arquitectura de Lisboa (FA – UTL) in 2006, I finished my bachelor degree in 2009 and completed my Masters Degree in Architecture specialized in Territorial Planning and Urban Management from 2010 to 2011.

Having gained new skills together with my professional and business life experience in the advertising field, I think I am prepared for new challenges but this time definitely related with Architecture and Urbanism.

Nowadays I work in partnership in an architecture office in Lisbon,  ADOC, in which we have developed projects related to architecture and urbanism for private constructions and public tenders.

I am fully available to accept new challenges in this field as well as in the supervision of works. I am looking for opportunities to use and develop my skills and competences in other markets besides my country.

The easiness of professional relationships, my experience in working with teams either in Portugal or abroad together with my new skills can place me in a good position to contribute simultaneously to your company development as well as to my professional career.
