A personal entry Bee Breeders' Baltic Way Memorial Competition in Riga, Latvia. On August 23, 1989, in which approximately 2 million people from the the Baltic States (Latvia, Estonia & Lithuania) created the world's largest human chain 600km long as an act of peaceful resistance to their Soviet occupation. The memorial is intended to educate future generations about this significant moment in history, pay tribute to the protesters and serve as a symbol for the strength nonviolent actions have when used to fight for people’s beliefs.
