This addition sought to create a light-filled, colorful environment to welcome and intrigue young learners.  The lobby’s double-height design allows for generous clerestory windows.  Its ceiling presents a series of constellations, in which the stars are represented by  LED lights.  The North Star, located at the center of the panel, uses a larger fixture.  The wainscot tile and flooring consist of repeating patterns of color transitions; the palette and patterns aim to strike a balance between playful and serene.  All designs underwent careful review and approval by the School Construction Authority (SCA), and materials and details were selected to work within the organization’s standards.
