“Society needs a good image of itself. That is the job of the architect”. (Walter Gropius) This proposal readdresses the current problem of social housing in Mexico, also pretends to use its underlying principle as a testing ground for new ways of conceiving affordable solutions in other geographical locations. An analysis of the range of family members and their potential growth, lend to a proposal that allows certain flexibility by the manipulation of space and variety of possibilities. At a bigger scale the facilities themselves are public space, integrating context with inner space.
