Fashion For All

inspired by the CONNECTIVITY of GLOBAL TEXTILE FABRICATION and the age-old use of THE LOOM as a manifestation of this concept, FASHION FOR ALL is a multipurpose design atelier infusing new life into a century old historic warehouse in the SOMA district of San Francisco, CA.  Focused on helping underprivileged young women reassimilate as competent and empowered members of society, FASHION FOR ALL is a collaborative space, weaving together the dreams of young women, experienced fashion design students from the nearby Academy of Art University, volunteers and community members who keep the program alive.  American novelist Anais Nin summarized it best, “Our [lives are] composed greatly from dreams, from the unconscious, and they must be brought into connection with action.  They must be woven together.”
