Concept: Vera Wang

The goal is to design a Class B offi ce building. The design will provide a solution for the building owner and the client, Vera Wang. The design should allow for an effi cient and budget conscious employee office space.  As a wedding dress designer she is noted for luxury and classically beautiful designs. Her dresses are romantic, modern, sophisticated and detailed. The design of her corporate office will directly refl ect the designs of her dresses with an appropriate color palette, layered upholstery and wall patterns, and a strong vertical emphasis, much like the silhouette of the women wearing her designs. The color palette is inspired by the colors used in Wang’s collections.  A range of warm neutrals: black, greys, and whites are used with pops of her signature jewel tones: emerald, scarlet, and violet. Just like her designs, I wanted to create a classic and timeless space. I wanted it to be intuitive for the clients and functional and effi cient for the employees.
