About 

My name is Lisa Canoy. I am an architectural designer, creative enthusiast, and avid traveler living in Venice, CA. My professional experience in architecture covers all project phases and involves diverse fields, including art installations, furniture design, graphic design, and photography. By working across multiple disciplines, I have acquired varied skills that have enriched and strengthened architectural practice and creative collaboration. By working in both the United States and the Philippines, I have cultivated a broader outlook on design as well as fostered a keen enthusiasm for continued exploration and growth. An enthusiasm that I use to drive each project and task.

Working with local architects on a project-to-project basis performing tasks across all scopes and phases.

Work conducted on small-scale projects including the following: wall installation (construction completed); second-story addition for a private farmhouse (proposal submitted); one-story residence in a private subdivision (construction completed); contracted work including exterior and interior upgrades and furniture prototypes for Xavier University (construction on-going); design consultation for EcoVille Refugee Housing Community (performed on volunteer-basis). Tasks covered on all project scopes and phases.

Work completed on multiple projects, predominantly large-scale institutional and commercial. Tasks included but not limited to the following: physical and digital modelling; architectural rendering; conducting field visits and verifying as-built conditions; preparing drawing sets (schematics to construction documents); developing details; researching codes; coordinating specifications; coordinating consultants’ scope and work; participating in CA by reviewing submittals and shop drawings, answering RFI’s, executing punch lists, attending OAC meetings; attending and facilitating user meetings.
