Lee Gibson is a passionate designer living/working/studying in New York City. Lee grew up in New Zealand in a remote area called the King Country, moved to Wellington to study architecture and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Victoria University of Wellington in 2000. Since then Lee has practiced design and architecture across a broad range of projects at varying scales. Lee has also taught at multiple tertiary institutions, is partially through a Diploma in Post-Graduate Teaching and Learning, and is currently on academic leave from his position of Senior Lecturer at Victoria University to complete his MFA in Interior Design at Parsons Newschool of Design in New York City.

Chosen as one of the Top 5 Emerging Designers in New York, and one of the Top 20 Emerging
Designers in the world to work with Heineken International to develop concepts for the Club
of the Future, to debut at the MIlan Furniture Fair in April 2012. Also developing a series of
site specific projects for locations worldwide from Singapore to New York, and currently Lead
Designer for Heineknen's Milan 2013 Pavillion.

Boisbuchet Fellowship 2011, Award
Awarded the Boisbuchet Fellowship Award in collaboration with Parsons New School of Design, to travel to Boisbuchet in France to design, fabricate, and install an installation.
In collaboration with Domaine de Boisbuchet, MUJI Japan, Parsons New School of Design, and Vitra Design Museum.
Emerging Designer, New York City, 1st Place
Selected as one of the Top Emerging Designers in New York City for Interior Design. Selected to work along with a multi-disciplinary team from around the world to design a space dedicated to Heineken at the Milan Design Fair in 2012.

Awarded an honorable mention for the exhbition 'disPLAY:remembering a performance landscape' at the Michael Hirschfeld Gallery, Wellington City Gallery, Wellington, New Zealand, 2003.
