Architect, Lauri Morrison has worked on both contemporary and traditional residential projects primarily on the West Coast for the past 10 years. Lauri has also helmed high-end residences in the state of Washington, Carmel Valley, and Kauai and California. Lauri received her Bachelor's of Architecture from the University of Minnesota and worked for prominent firms on commercial projects including hotels, healthcare, retail, office and entertainment (Imax Theater in Caesar’s Forum in Las Vegas). Just 2 years in the profession, Lauri was then recruited out to Seattle where she worked for Curtis Gelotte Architects and then later again recruited to another firm, Stuart Silk Architects, both high-end, well respected, well published firms.
Recent awards include the 2008 Excellence in Masonry Award. Her work has been featured in Elegant Homes, Country French, Beautiful Homes, Trends, Seattle Homes and Lifestyles, Pacific Northwest, and the coffee table book, Dream Homes. She is known for her attention to detail and passion for sustainable homes and living.
Lauri has always been intrigued and experienced in green architecture, acting as the project manager of a Level 5 Built Green (the highest level). It was the 2nd residence in King County to receive a 5 star rating. Lauri has since moved to Los Angeles in 2008 where she continues to work on high end residential and is enjoying little commercial work as well. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, working out, and attending film and theatre.
